Annual Downtown Christmas Parade
Another wonderful holiday event for the Grants Pass Community! This continues to grow in attendance and popularity each year. Night parades like this are fun, enjoyable and a special event for family and friends.
The 2011 Grants Pass Christmas Parade kicks off at 7 p.m. at the corner of Sixth and L streets and will proceed towards F Street.
The most floats ever, over 40, from area businesses and organizations will be in the parade.
The parade is marshaled by the Winterfest Snow Queen, Fleming Middle School and Grants Pass High School will have their bands in the parade and, of course, Santa Claus will be part of the event.
Downtown Program Coordinator Molly Prive says that this event demonstrates citizens taking pride in their hometown, “I think that it highlights what we love most about Grants Pass and that is that we’re still a small town and we come together for these events and it’s the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with a family friendly event,” Prive said.
Silver Ridge Outfitters will be escorting Santa through the Christmas Parade. Come see the floats all decorated and kick off this holiday season in Downtown Grants Pass.
After the parade, Santa will be available for visits at "Santa's Workshop" - corner of 5th and G Streets until about 9pm.
